Classroom Expectations
‚ÄčMrs. Geckeler's Classroom Expectations

  1. Be on time, on-task, and prepared to learn every day.

    1. Be at your desk ready to learn before the bell rings.  Referrals will be written for every four lates.  

    2. When you are in class, you are on-task!  This means you are doing what you are supposed to be doing.  As soon as you come in, you should take out your four things and get to work.

    3. Be prepared.  Every day you will need four things: ID, planner, pencil, and folder.

  2. Personal electronics for educational purposes only.

    1. If you have a phone (or any other device), it needs to be kept in your locker, backpack, or pocket out of sight during class.  

    2. Devices should only be out in class if the teacher says you can use it for an  assignment.

    3. You are allowed to use personal electronic devices during lunch.

  3. Be responsible for your own learning.

    1. Your job is to learn.  You are in charge of your own learning.  

    2. If you need help, ask for it.  

    3. If you don’t understand, ask questions.  

    4. Speak up for yourself and respectfully ask for what you need.

    5. Be your own person.  Make your own choices and be the best you can be!

  4. Respect the teacher, the classroom, and other students.

    1. Listen to others.  Be quiet during announcements.

    2. Follow directions from all adults.

    3. Speak kindly.  Raise your hand if you want to speak during class.

    4. Be gentle with materials.  

    5. Treat others how you would like to be treated.

    6. Be a team player.  Remember, teamwork makes the dream work!

  5. Trash goes in the trash can.

    1. We all need to work together to make our classroom a great place to learn.  

    2. Take care of your own materials.

    3. Put your trash in the trash can.

    4. Recycle paper, cans, plastic, and glass in the blue recycling bin.
