GENERAL RULES:

  • There are assigned seats and lab groups.
  • Homework is due the next class day after it is assigned. Labs are due day-of the lab. Nothing late is graded in any way.
  • Extra-credit or make-up work is neither equitable nor available to all. There is no extra-credit, extra projects or make-up work of any kind.
  • Extra help is available during mutual free periods, before Homeroom or (by appointment), after school 
  • Cell Phones or Electronic Devices are not permitted in the classroom anytime after the opening bell. If it is seen or in use during class you will be written up. This notice serves as your warning.
  • Calculators - All students need a simple calculator. None are provided. Electronic devices cannot be used as calculator. Programmable calculators present the means to undermine testing and are not permitted during evaluations.
  • NO FOOD or WATER in class or lab at any time (unless as part of an IEP).
  • HW: checked first thing the day after it is assigned. All-or-nothing points.
  • EVALUATIONS:
  • hands are to be on the desk at all times during evaluations
  • no calculators, paper or writing supplies are provided by the instructor
  • No phones out while test or quiz is in session
  • CP Chem Labs:  1 to 4 points total, depending upon requirements, below 
    • 1 pt - performance of lab
    • 1 pts - complete data table (if necessary)
    • 1 pts - complete calcs (if necessary)
    • 1 pts - questions (if necessary)
  • Honors/AP labs: 1 to  5 points total, depending upon requirements, below. Quadrille bound notebook required. Notebooks are to be completed in PEN with no erasures
  • 1 pt - performance of lab
  • 1 pt - NO erasures or loss of original data
  • 1 pts - complete data table (if necessary)
  • 1 pts - complete calcs (if necessary)
  • 1 pts - questions (if necessary)


REQUIRED
 MATERIALS – always with you in class

  • notebook and paper, pens/pencil/eraser
  • simple Calculator
  • course materials (book, packets, etc.)
  • Quadrille notebook (Honors/AP Phys Labs only)

DOCS – occasionally there are handouts or reference materials.

Homework:

The Homework Page is the complete and comprehensive source of all assignments and due-dates. This calendar is also shared each day with classes. Students should expect daily homework and evaluations at the end of each chapter or section. This calendar is prepared as far ahead as possible to allow for planning but dates may shift as the school calendar changes. Homework is due class-after it is assigned. Labs are due day-of or day after, to be announced at the time of lab.
