Honors Chemistry Course Expectations

Course Expectations:

  1. Students will be expected to attend class; if absent it is the student’s responsibility to contact a classmate to acquire the notes and assignments.
  2. Students will be expected to maintain a satisfactory level of preparedness and bring all necessary supplies to class daily.

- Textbook – covered (usually left at home)

- Notebook

- Homework

- Pen or pencil

- Calculator, non-graphing

  1. Students will be seated right away, write homework in agenda, and have notebook / calculator / homework on the desk.
  2. Students will be expected to complete all assignments on time.
  3. Students will be cooperative in class and contribute to the learning environment and growth of the class to the best of their ability.
  4. Students will be expected to take detailed, organized notes.
  5. Students will be expected to be prepared for all laboratory experiments, keep a clean lab bench work area, and to observe all safety rules at all times.


Evaluation Procedures:

The four standard marking period grades will be determined by a non-weighted, a point is a point, system.

Grade = ( Total Earned Points / Total Possible Points ) x 100
