As an English course, students will engage in reading, writing, speaking and listening activities that align with the NJ SLS Standards. This course will help students negotiate complex ideas on racial identities as expressed by well-known literary works. Using APA or MLA formatting, students will be expected to develop and produce research projects that incorporate literary analysis, historiographies, and political readings. At the successful completion of this course, students will have learned to dive deeply into subject matter and learn transferrable skills necessary for post-high school academic settings.
