CP English IV
CP English IV covers a large span of literary history, from the early play Antigone by Sophocles (441 b.c.) to Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale (1985) and a collection of 20th century short stories. Throughout the year the class will question how one can overcome adversity, how literature reflects the time period in which it was written, and how literature helps one to better understand oneself. In addition to the multicultural curriculum, students will plan for the future - life after graduation. A unit on college essay/letter of application writing will be provided.
